The ability to garner attention is more democratized than ever before.
In other words, we all have the ability to “court attention” through social media.
Maybe we should all cultivate intrigue and drama around our lives? Become our own little reality TV shows ;)
I think Robert Green’s law is a little extreme, that said we can gain a lot from documenting in public.
1) We learn about ourselves when we go through the process of refining our thoughts so they are coherent enough to understand by a third party. This is helpful even if no-one pays attention.
2) We attract our tribe. Some communities will naturally resonate with you. One of the best ways to find these people is via your online reputation. Community is no doubt one of the core things all of us need as humans.
